
Angus Luk
Mr Luk is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in urinary stone disease, benign prostate enlargement and endoscopic treatment of upper tract and bladder cancers. He has a particular interest in endourology innovation and uses advanced minimally invasive techniques to support precise, patient-focused urological care.
About Mr Luk
Mr Luk is a recognised key opinion leader within the field of Endourology. He has been an invited speaker in numerous national and international conferences & courses. He has worked with multiple industry partners including Coloplast, Hugemed, Pusen, and YiGao Medical. He has published multiple peer-reviewed publications, and contributed to several multi-centre studies such as the on-going PREMISE Trial and the global ERBT Registry.
As a keen enthusiast for technology & surgical innovation, Mr Luk is one of the earliest adopters of some of the latest endourology technologies within North-East England, such as Flexible & Navigable Suction Access Sheath (FANS), and Thulium Fiber Laser. He has been championing endoscopic En-Bloc resection of Bladder Tumours nationally.
Having completed his initial medical training in Sheffield in 2013, Mr Luk has worked in South Yorkshire and North-West England, before taking up his Urology Specialist Training post in the North-East. He has completed a Endourology fellowship at the Freeman Hospital, before taking up a consultant post there in 2023.
Mr Luk’s main NHS practice is based in Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne; he also has outpatient clinics in Hexham General Hospital.
